Sunday am run

Cold, wind, ice, new snow, the-just-before-sunrise-dark.

Base layer, heavy tights, marmot fleece, trail shoes, gu (just in case), cell phone (just in case), extra heavy socks, a layer of aquaphor covering my face.

It's one of those mornings where all you can see is your breath and all you can hear is your feet crunching snow.

Sometimes, I just want to run. It doesn't matter how cold or windy or snowy.

I just gotta run.

You are totally more hardcore than me! Seriously for long runs I wait until the temperature is going to be at a max for the week before I venture out. I literally build my week around the nice weather. and by nice I mean 30 degrees.

Sounds like a wonderful run to me. :D

I trust Slin is on the mend and doing well? I do imagine that the run was as good for you mentally as it was physically.

Glad your son is OK. What a scary evening, I'm sure.

Been meaning to comment for over a week. Good job, and I hope everything is well and good with you and your family. Keep on running. Keep on writing. Keep on being happy with what life provides you.
